Finally... An Opportunity To Go To Church!!!

Well... So far today my day has gone splendid! Seriously... I am not being sarcastic... it has been a long time coming but I was finally able to get out of the house AND go to church.

I think the Lord does this just so I can appreciate actually going to church, Im only half kidding. I have a bad habit of getting more caught up in the social aspects of church... which dont get me wrong are VERY refreshing after being cooped up in a house with a 7 month old and no one close enough to you to really go out and visit or have over.

All in all Church today was wonderful... the speakers did an excellent job and enlightened my mind about the Savior and Atonement. I was blessed with the sacrament which is something my soul craves after too long of not having it. It is interesting to see what something so simple as a crumb of bread and thimble full of water does to your mind, might, soul and your upcoming week.

I hope everyones Sabbath was just as nourishing if not more than mine! Happy Sunday and have a splendid week!

Update on Recent Events

Well I am hesitant to write this post because I dont want to jinx myself but I will anyhow...

Most of you know I have been really sick with baby number two... so sick in fact that I have dropped about 5 pounds and was ready to make a visit to the hospital. Good news is... these last couple of days I have finally started to show improvement! I have been able to absorb the gallons upon gallons of water I have been drinking, my appetite is back (finally), and I can now eat more than just broth. I still have the fatigue and nausea with the occasional inability to choke down food but it is much less frequent!

Other recent events that have taken place, which is few since I havent left the house in weeks, is Olivia is now 7 months old and yes I am planning on posting pictures of her in her chair. I am about 14 weeks now so I am officially in my second trimester and have a Dr appointment at 10:30 am tomorrow! Another thing that is going on in our house is we have a crawler! Olivia has started to crawl she is still figuring it out but is a fast mover!

Well there you have it... a quick update which will be followed soon by another more extensive and picture rich update.

Just Call Me Fertile Myrtle...

Tickers from WiddlyTinks.com

Just to catch everyone up to speed. Ryan and I are expecting our second baby on Sep 15th and today I am 10 weeks ( or 11 weeks depending on which calculator you use)! We had an ultrasound a few weeks ago and were able to see our tiny baby and the heart beating! So if you have been worried about me being so sick lately ... don't worry... you cant catch this bug.

Teething... teething... and more teething...

Ok... so is it normal to feel exhausted at the end of a day, where you really havent done much of anything, when taking care of a 6 month old who is cutting teeth?

I feel so exhausted and have a headache and I am not even the one in pain! I feel so bad for Olivia but there is not much I can do at this point. She has been chewing on things, had her Motrin, Ive massaged her gums...

Any suggestions? I am up for just about anything at this point. Oh... wait... Who wants to borrow a baby?! lol. Kidding, really. But seriously... if anyone wants to buy me a nanny for the next couple of months... I would love you forever! lol.

SIX MONTHS! HOLY SMOKES!

Here is my little LivieBug's 6 month pictures and a SUPER cute video of her...

Olivia VS The Tissue Paper

Little Miss Olivia Mae The Giggle Queen

Well this is Olivia's Six Months stats:

  • 15.6 lbs
  • 75% for height (26 inches) and head circumferences
  • Putting sounds together like "th", "da" and many many raspberries!
  • She has not started crawling YET but rolls all over and very fast!
  • Olivia now sits up all on her own and sits in the shopping cart without her car seat
  • Her favorite things to play with are anything with buttons, lights and shiny parts on it... aside from her fascination with electronics she is madly in love with her play piano, bunny and any body part of Zoe... nose, ears, pretty much anything she can hang on to.
  • She has a very sweet personality and loves showing affection! She gives a big smile and grabs your face then buries her head in your neck... very sweet!

Ok... so since my week of mishap after mishap things have been really good!

Ryan and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary!

Ryan took me out to our favorite restaurant ... the only good mexican place out here. After dinner was a movie, Avatar. Yes. We saw Avatar for our Anniversary but it was an amazing movie and will plan on owning it when it comes out on blue ray! This was all made possible BABY FREE!!! I love Olivia to pieces but... a night out with JUST the man of my dreams is needed from time to time!

Ryan has been up to a lot lately as well... see photo above. No she is not drinking it, thank goodness... just to clarify it isnt even open yet but my Mt Dew addicted husband wanted to get a good laugh and a laugh is what we both got.

With Ryan's rotating shift work it is hard to be consistent but one of the benefits of Swings (our most hated schedule of them all) is we get to loaf around together as a family and Olivia gets to wake up every morning with her Daddy... They are in fact watching saturday morning cartoons.

Olivia and her favorite pal in the whole wide world... Zoe.

The cutest baby butt ever and her darling ballerina socks! Thanks Christina!!

Speaking of butts... this is what I found today when I went to wake up Olivia from her nap.

Things in our house have been going really well... lots of fun, a lot of relaxing and soaking up our quality family time!
