We didnt do much for Easter for Olivia. I was hoping to get her ears pierced for her easter present but I was so nervous to get her ears pierced that I couldn't do it yet in which I resorted to a small easter basket filled with stuffed animals, hair bows, teething cookies and easter eggs.
We did however get her picture with the Easter Bunny at the mall... he may not be the worlds cutest Easter Bunny but he was the best we had.

Was searching for a GF's blog with similar name and came across yours. Started reading and saw your post wanting to have your dd's ears pierced for Easter, but were so nervous you couldn't do it yet.
I had a similar experience with our 2 month old daughter, Sandi. I'd always dreamed I would have a little girl with pierced ears and wanted to have them done from birth, but was told to wait till her DPT shot.
I had the urge like you did too so I asked our ped. She encouraged me to do it when mommy could care for them. She said if they cry, it is because of being restrained or the noise of the piercing instrument, not any discomfort.
Afterwards, I was relieved to know I wouldn't be causing her any pain so I was ready and excited to have it done.
She gave us some suggestions for moms having their dd's ears pierced and recommended Piercing Pagoda due to their experience with infant ear piercing and professional training. We were very pleased!
Like you, I was nervous too and chickened out until I spoke with our ped who reassured me. I'd say if your're thinking about it, then your mommy intuition is telling you earlier is better and I'd just go ahead and do it now.
Write me an e-mail if you would like our ped's suggestions and I'll send them to you.

Actually I have seen far scarier Easter bunnies. But they could have at least vacuumed the carpet his chair is sitting on. Livie looks completely adorable though and that's all the really matters right?!
